S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 confirmed for PS5 release in November 2025

    GSC Game World has announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will launch on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro on November 20, 2025, one year after the game's initial release on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

    The PlayStation version will include full platform-specific optimization, with features such as Adaptive Triggers, Haptic Feedback, Tempest 3D Audio, motion-based gyro aiming, and support for the DualSense controller's speaker, lightbar, and touchpad gestures. Trophy support will also be available.

    On PlayStation 5 Pro, the game will take advantage of the upgraded hardware with enhanced shadow resolution, improved global illumination, higher-quality reflections, and upgraded volumetric fog and cloud rendering.

    Set in the Chornobyl Anomalous Zone, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 follows protagonist Skif in an open-world survival horror experience. 

    The PS5 release will mark the first time the series is available on a PlayStation platform.

    Pre-orders are already live digitally, with Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions available. Bonuses for PlayStation players include exclusive weapon and costume skins. A physical Standard Edition will also be released at launch, while collector's editions are planned for 2026.
