VALORANT Mobile set for August 19th China launch
Riot Games' highly anticipated mobile adaptation, VALORANT Mobile, is officially set to launch in China on August 19, 2025, for both iOS and Android platforms.
valorant16The announcement was made by publisher Tencent, during the 2025 ChinaJoy Gaming Festival. While global launch details remain unrevealed, pre-registrations in China have already surged past 60 million.
Developed by Riot Games, VALORANT Mobile will debut with a robust content lineup, featuring 18 agents, 7 maps from the PC version, and two mobile-exclusive Deathmatch maps, alongside 10 distinct game modes.
In a significant commitment to the burgeoning mobile esports scene in China, Tencent and Riot Games plan to invest 1.5 billion RMB (approximately 200 million USD) over the next three years.
This substantial investment aims to cultivate a thriving VALORANT Mobile esports ecosystem, with plans for national and collegiate tournaments, as well as regular co-branded events. TJ Sports CEO and Head of VALORANT Mobile publishing at Tencent, Bobby Jin Yibo, is spearheading these efforts.
Anna Donlon, Head of VALORANT Studios, expressed her enthusiasm, praising the "vibrant and world-class" passion of the Chinese player base since VALORANT's PC launch in China in 2023. Multiple closed beta events have already been successfully organized, highlighting the game's readiness.
To ensure fair play, VALORANT Mobile will incorporate a comprehensive suite of anti-cheat features, including a replay system, advanced cheat detection, real-time penalty systems, and hardware fingerprint detection to combat macro use and keyboard-mouse mapping.
