Peyz joins T1 as new ADC ahead of 2026 season

The soon-to-be 20-year-old will step into the bot lane role vacated by Lee 'Gumayusi' Min-hyeong, who confirmed his departure earlier this month. With Peyz on board, T1 has now finalized its roster for the 2026 LCK season, aiming to secure a fourth consecutive world championship.

According to T1's official statement, Peyz has signed a contract extending until 2028 – a year before the newly renewed contract of legendary mid-laner Faker expires. The duration signals the organisation's intention to develop the young talent into another franchise cornerstone.

Peyz, who joined the Gen.G academy at just 14, was regarded as one of Korea's brightest prospects when he debuted for Gen.G in 2023. Over the following two years, he won three LCK titles, reached the top four at Worlds 2024, and lifted an MSI trophy, cementing his reputation as a rising star.

In 2025, Peyz moved to the LPL to join JD Gaming. Despite the team's failure to qualify for Worlds that year, he remained one of the roster's most consistent performers, often carrying games with his aggressive playstyle.

T1 now faces the challenge of integrating Peyz's high-tempo approach into the team's existing dynamics. Developing strong synergy with support Ryu 'Keria' Min-seok will be key in determining the roster's success next season.

Peyz is expected to make his T1 debut at the Red Bull League of Its Own, taking place at SAP Garden in Germany on November 29. The squad will then compete in the KeSPA Cup 2025, starting one week later on December 6.
