Gen.G avenge Home Ground defeat with LCK victory over T1

Just two weeks after their shock loss at Home Ground, Gen.G came back to defeat T1 Esports 2-1 in their LCK Summer Split clash on Thursday.

T1 broke Gen.G's incredible winning streak in the Round 3 home ground last month, but the table toppers were out for revenge this week.

However, T1 completely dominated Game 1. They defeated Gen.G and only dropped two kills, winning with a 16k gold lead. T1 star Ryu 'Keria' Min-seok was impressive as he had a phenomenal game on Bard.

Gen.G's fightback came in Game 2. T1 started well but then fell off as Park 'Ruler' Jae-hyuk had a 2k gold lead over his bot opponent before the 20-minute mark.

IN Game 3, a genius countergank by Gen.G jungler Kim 'Canyon' Geon-bu in early game virtually sealed the deal for Gen.G. The jungler, a former world champion himself, also became just the sixth LCK player to record 4500 assists in the league.

But Canyon knows there are bigger fish to fry...

"I'm happy about today's win, but in the end, we have to win at Worlds," he said afterwards.

The victory extends Gen.G's dominance at the top of the LCK Summer Split table, where they are 22-1.
