India gloveman Rishabh Pant set to miss home Test series against West Indies

    Rishabh Pant is set to miss India's two-match Test series at home against West Indies next month as he still recovering from a fractured foot suffered in England.

    Pant sustained the injury in the fourth Test during the fourth Test in Manchester with Dhruv Jurel taking over the wicketkeeper duties for the remainder of the series.

    Pant has been undergoing strength and conditioning and is awaiting further updates from the BCCI medical team before he can resume batting and keeping with no timeline revealed for his return as yet.

    Jurel is currently with India A team playing against Australia A and is expected to be named in the senior group when 15-man squad is announced this week.

    Devdutt Padikkal could also be included in the main squad after striking 150 for India A against Australia A in the first four-day encounter.

    The series against West Indies is part of World Test Championship (WTC) with India currently third on the table after the 2-2 draw in England.
